Your Session Saves, Signal or Not

Gym wifi is bad and the parking lot is worse. TOMO now keeps your session on your phone when there is no connection and syncs it the moment you get one. The Study tab now counts the minutes you really watch, and skipping a pick gets you a better one.

UX

Log a session with no signal

You can now save a session anywhere. If your phone cannot reach the internet, TOMO keeps the whole thing on your device and uploads it as soon as you have a bar. You will see "Saved on your phone" instead of an error and a lost session.

  • Works in airplane mode and in dead zones
  • Survives closing the app entirely
  • Your voice recording uploads separately once the connection allows
  • Discarding a session still discards it, on purpose
Intelligence

Study minutes you actually earned

The Study tab used to count a video as watched the second you tapped it. Open a 47 minute Danaher breakdown, back out after three seconds, and it told you that you had studied 47 minutes. It now counts real watch time, and a long video picks up where you left it.

  • A partly watched pick shows a gold bar and how far in you got
  • Reopening a long video resumes it, with "Start over" if you would rather
  • Videos you watch from the library count toward your week too
  • Rating a pick only unlocks once you have actually seen it
Intelligence

Pass on a pick, get a better one

Skipping a video now asks why in one tap, and swaps in something that fits. Say it is too advanced and you get the same position taken slower. Say it is not your game and you get a different position. Say not this week and the video comes back another week instead of disappearing.

UX

Save a video for later

Bookmark any library video. Anything you save collects in one place on the Study tab, so the video you meant to come back to is one tap away instead of lost in 600.

UX

The mindset library is findable

Videos on coming back from injury, competition nerves, blue belt blues, and training past 40 used to be reachable only if the app handed you one that week. They now have their own section in the library and turn up in search.

Polish

Numbers that hold up

The library count now shows how many videos exist at your belt rather than the whole catalog, so it matches what you can actually open. And when you have run out of videos that fit what you asked for, TOMO says so and tells you to go train rather than padding the list.

Polish

Signing out warns you first

If a session has not finished uploading, signing out now tells you before it lets go of it. Sessions saved offline are kept and come back when you sign in again.

Why this matters: The entire point of TOMO is catching the session while it is fresh, which is exactly when you are standing in a gym parking lot with one bar and no patience. Losing that to a connection error was the worst thing this app could do to you. Now the only thing between you and a logged session is whether you open it.
