Intelligent Session Editing

Editing saved sessions just got dramatically faster. TOMO now suggests techniques as you type, learns from your training history, and gets out of the way when there's nothing to show.

Technique Autocomplete

When editing techniques on a saved session, TOMO now searches across three sources simultaneously to suggest the right technique name as you type.

  • Your personal training history (techniques you've logged before) ranked highest
  • 361 canonical BJJ techniques from TOMO's technique tree with position context
  • Common BJJ terminology dictionary as a fallback
  • Your own history ranks first, then the technique library, then the dictionary
  • Custom entries always allowed: type anything and tap "Add" if it's not in the database
Intelligence

Recently Used Techniques

Focus the technique input without typing anything and TOMO shows your recently logged techniques. One tap to add, no typing required for your regulars.

Position-Aware Submission Suggestions

When editing submissions, TOMO reads the techniques you drilled in that session, infers which positions you were working from, and suggests submissions available from those positions.

  • Drilled scissor sweep? TOMO knows you were in closed guard and suggests armbar, triangle, omoplata
  • Worked on knee cut pass? TOMO suggests submissions from side control and knee on belly
  • Tap any suggestion chip to add it instantly
UX

Cleaner Session View

Empty sections no longer clutter the screen with dashed placeholder cards. If you didn't record injuries, instructor, or warm-up info, those sections stay hidden until you need them.

  • Compact "+ Lesson topic", "+ Injuries", "+ Instructor" links appear at the bottom
  • Tap any link to open the edit sheet directly
  • Techniques section always visible (it's the primary edit target)
  • Sessions with full data display exactly as before, nothing removed

Specific Save Confirmations

Save toasts now tell you exactly what changed instead of generic "Changes saved" messages.

  • "Scissor Sweep added" when you add a single technique
  • "Warm-up → Yes" when you toggle warm-up
  • "Sparring → 3 rounds" when you update round count
  • "Techniques updated" for multi-item changes

Why this matters: "Arm bar", "armbar" and "juji gatame" are the same technique. Autocomplete steers all of them to one name, so every time you hit it gets counted together and your weekly insights can see the pattern.
