Features and improvements shipping to TOMO
Tapping a video in the Study tab now plays it right inside the app. No more getting lost in YouTube's recommendation rabbit hole. Plus, the video library just tripled in size.
Videos now play inside TOMO using an embedded player. You stay in the app, watch the technique, and go right back to studying. No YouTube sidebar, no recommended videos pulling you away from training.
The Study tab now has 123 new instructional videos from top BJJ coaches. Every position has deeper coverage, with particular focus on open guards, guard passing, submissions, and takedowns.
When you watch a video for the first time, TOMO learns its actual duration and saves it. Over time, the library fills in duration data automatically as videos get watched.
Your weekly video picks now track whether you actually watched them. After a video finishes, you can give feedback on whether it was helpful. This will improve future recommendations.
Why this matters: The best BJJ practitioners study as much as they train. But every time TOMO sent you to YouTube, you left the training mindset and entered the distraction machine. Now your study sessions stay focused. Watch the technique, close it, move to the next one. That's how you build a game.
