Features and improvements shipping to TOMO
The Study tab's weekly video picks are now personalized to your training. TOMO analyzes what you've drilled, where you've sparred, and what's missing from your game to surface the 3-5 videos that matter most this week.
Your weekly picks now come from a real analysis of your last 4 weeks of training. TOMO looks at which techniques you drilled, which positions you avoided, your offense-defense balance, and recent lesson topics to find the videos that fill your gaps.
When you rate a video, TOMO tells you what happens next. Thumbs up means "more like this next week." Thumbs down lets you say why, and your answer shapes future recommendations. Your feedback is no longer a dead end.
Pick cards now highlight the personalized reason text in a distinct block so you can immediately see why each video was chosen. Cards have more breathing room, cleaner hierarchy, and a refined feedback flow throughout.
The in-app video player now features a prominent "Why this pick" card with your personalized reason. After watching, the feedback prompt is clearer and explains that your answer trains your future picks.
Voice transcription was failing silently after recording. A misconfigured connection to the transcription service has been corrected. Your voice memos now transcribe reliably again, and the 980+ BJJ terms TOMO listens for are sharper than ever.
The recommendation engine was giving every video the same score on technique relevance. Fixed so picks now properly reflect what you actually drill. If you've been working half guard all week, your picks will connect to that.
Why this matters: Before today, every white belt saw the same four videos. Now TOMO watches your training the way a good training partner does and points you toward what you actually need. The more sessions you log, the sharper your picks get.
